P2X Channels

P2X Channel Screening Services

#

P2X receptors are a family of cation-permeable, ligang-gated ion channels that open in response to the binding of extracellular adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP). There are 7 known P2X subunits (P2X1 - P2X7), each of which is capable of forming functional homomeric or heteromeric receptors. P2X receptors belong to a larger family of receptors known as the purinergic receptors and have been indicated to play a role nociception, inflammation and airway hyperactivity.

SB offers a range of P2X ion channel assays, all of which have been validated by experienced in-house electrophysiologists using rigorously optimized SOPs to ensure data of the highest quality and consistency.
